Magic Summer Camp

Be Part of the Magic this Summer!

The Magic Summer Camp (Mentoring a Girl in Construction) is designed to offer high school girls the opportunity to learn about the countless avenues of employment available to women in the construction industry and to engage these young women via hands-on training in basic construction skills. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain marketable skills and to experience the exhilaration of successfully performing difficult tasks.

The Magic Summer Camp provides a supportive and nurturing environment for high school girls to explore and develop basic skills in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and welding/cutting.  It offers high school girls a gender-neutral environment to learn and practice new skills as well as helps them to develop greater self-confidence and better self esteem for girls who attack challenging projects and successfully complete them.  The experience and tools gained from the Magic Camp is very helpful for the future as well as a good time.

Costs:  The MAGIC Camp experience is free to the registered students, thanks to the generous donations of the local construction industry and Valley High School.  All campers receive a free camp T-shirt.
