Enhancing The Success Of Women In The Construction Industry.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is a professional Association comprised of women working in construction and related industries.  “Enhancing the Success of Women Employed in the Construction Industry” is the core purpose of the organization.  This goal is achieved by providing Networking and Support through:

-Education and Mentoring Programs

-Professional and Business Networking

-Membership Services

-Leadership Development

-Community Outreach

NAWIC was first established in 1955 by 16 founding members. Today, nearly 5,500 women in approximately 160 chapters across the United States are NAWIC members.

Members of the Association include business owners and managers, executives, subcontractors, accountants, estimators, tradeswomen, attorneys, architects, engineers and more.

Chapter meetings, regional conferences, and national conventions provide opportunities to build a strong communication network for developing and broadening professional business contacts.

Committees such as Safety and Health Awareness, Professional Education and Tradeswomen encourage members to participate in their areas of individual expertise, to support other members with similar specialization.

Become a NAWIC Member by applying online at www.nawic.org. Student memberships are also open to female students enrolled in construction-related programs at institutions of higher education and vocational programs.

As a construction business owner, sponsorship allows you to connect with our membership to promote your business, invest in the education of your employees and demonstrate support of the success of women in the construction industry.  For more information on how to become a NAWIC sponsor visit www.nawic.org/nawic/Sponsors.asp.
